Comments: | Assay Overview: The purpose of this assay is to determine dose response curves for compounds identified as active in a previous set of experiments entitled, "Luminescence-based primary cell-based high throughput screening assay to identify activators of the Aryl Hydrocarbon Receptor (AHR)" (AID 2796), that confirmed activity in a set of experiments entitled, "Luminescence-based cell-based high throughput confirmation assay for activators of the Aryl Hydrocarbon Receptor (AHR)" (AID 2845), and that were inactive in a set of experiments entitled, "Counterscreen for activators of the Aryl Hydrocarbon Receptor (AHR): luminescence-based cell-based high throughput screening assay to identify activators of the Pregnane X Receptor (PXR)" (AID 434939). This cell-based assay measures the ability of compounds to activate AHR signaling. The assay employs human hepatoma (HepG2) cells stably transfected with the AHR-dependent pGudLuc6.1-DRE plasmid (HG2L6.1c3 cell line), which expresses the firefl | |
